HR Shared Services for the MAS Group was established in August 2022, bringing together a focus-specialized team that services six main functions in Human Resources.  The journey of establishing the HR Shared Services began in 2019 as part of an HR transformation initiative. This was executed in collaboration with the MAS Strategic Business Units. 

HR Shared Services provides centralized services across Talent Acquisition, Workforce Management (Employee Life Cycle Management), Payroll and Compensation, Benefits Administration, Learning and Development, and Reporting and Analytics across 59 Strategic Business Units, both locally and globally.

Talent Acquisition


Our Talent Acquisition team handles the end-to-end recruitment for our clients. From sourcing of candidates by advertising across all recruitment channels, including social media, to coordinating with external partners; our team of recruiters conduct candidate screening interviews and coordinates the interview process with the client.

We also manage the candidate clearance and verification process. Once candidates are finalized by the client, our team concludes the process by conducting the offer and onboarding of candidates.

Our Talent Acquisition services are augmented by Talent Analytics and Insights for our clients.

Payroll and Compensation


Our expertise in Payroll and Compensation covers payroll processing for Sri Lanka for Wages Board and Shop and Office employees and overseas clients. Our services include annual and ad-hoc performance-based payments, gratuity and other statutory payments, the provision of payroll reports and support for Compliance and Statutory Audits.

Benefits Administration 


Our services in Benefits Administration caters to the management of all employee benefits covering Shop and Office employees. Our services cover, Mobile and Data Benefits, Medical Insurance, Death Donation Schemes, Medical Insurance, Professional Membership Payments and Reimbursement and Service Awards. This includes the activation and deactivation of benefits, payment reconciliation and annual enrolments.

Workforce Management


We provide all Employee Lifecyle Management services for our clients. From employee onboarding documentation and profile creation to catering to all lifecycle changes from confirmation, transfers, promotions, resignation and retirement, including the provision of all related letters and custom letters that may be requested by the employees or the business, we have got you covered. Not only does our team of experienced Analysts manage the system interface for all employee lifecycle movements, we also provide personal file management services as well, which includes catering to statutory audits and documentation archival. Our services cover all Wages Board and Shop and Office employees.

Learning and Development


We provide Learning and Development Administration services that covers Company onboarding, pre and post training feedback, evaluations and course work, L&D reporting and execution of our clients annual L&D Calendar and creation of Competency Assessments and Individual Development Plans. Our team of trained Analysts also create new course content for L&D initiatives and manage training programs and process vendor payments.

Reporting and Analytics


Our team of Data Analysts cater to our clients HR Reporting and Analytics needs to enable data driven decision-making. Utilizing various data mining and visualization software and platforms such as PowerBI, Power Automate and Macros, we generate a plethora of HR reports for our clients.
